Jennifer and Andrew
Andrew and I met in university eight years ago. Soon after we began dating, Andrew transferred to another school and we had a long distance relationship for ~five years. Three years ago, we decided to pack up and move across Canada (from Ontario to Alberta & the Rocky Mountains). We love everything about the mountains and our home together! Depending on the season, we spend almost all of our weekends hiking, biking or skiing.
Andrew proposed in June 2019 while we were out on my favorite hike with our best friends (Sarrail Ridge in Kananaskis). It was the perfect day. Once we started planning our wedding, we knew it had to be in the mountains. We wanted our family and friends to experience everything we love about the Rockies.
We planned for July 18, 2020. Then COVID happened. Like everyone in the world, we were unsure what the future would hold. We decided to postpone to October 3, 2020 to buy some time.
As we were approaching October, we decided that the most important thing to us was to marry each other. It wasn't all about the large wedding and the party. So, we decided to go full steam ahead. We are so happy we did. We are thrilled to be married, and we had the perfect day surrounded by our parents, some extended family, and our closest friends.
Not to mention, October in the Alberta Rocky Mountains is usually filled with snow. We were expecting below freezing temperatures. However, the day ended up being the most beautiful autumn day with temperatures warmer than our original July 18th date.
Love is not cancelled.
P.S. I would like to highlight one more vendor in the Acknowledgements tab (but you only allow 4 total). The 5th is Videographer, Twisted Film Works, https://twistedfilmworks.com/
