My husband and I met in L.A., but we're originally from Michigan. We chose to get married on Mackinac Island because it's a very special place that highlights all the beauty of our home state, especially in autumn. We wanted a vintage feel, and Mackinac has incredible history. There are no cars, so our guests took bikes and carriages, which added to the old fashioned charm. We chose to have a very personal, intimate wedding; we wanted it to be a weekend party with our nearest and dearest. From start to finish it was everything we dreamed.
