Eileen and Geoff
We had a beautiful ceremony at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, in Wallingford, PA, where Eileen grew up attending weekly mass with her family. Immediately after, we had our guests bussed to The Old Mill in Rose Valley, PA. Guests were greeted with three bars so there was no wait to get a cocktail. A dozen passed hors d'oeuvres and a mountain of fruit, cheeses, and other assorted appetizers were available to snack on as we mingled with friends and family. We then moved inside for an amazing family style dinner. But before we could eat, we were introduced by our amazing band, danced to our first song, and then every guest joined us on the dance floor for three songs that would set the stage for the rest of the night. The band was simply incredible, they could perform any song you wanted. When they needed a break, The Mummers, a Philadelphia tradition, filled in for 20 minutes of dancing and singing, including the Eagles fight song! Our dance floor was completely full the entire night. The bride even hopped on stage with the band during Whitney Houston’s, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody!” The band was even pressured to play “one more song” from 120 people chanting to extend the party just four more minutes. At 11, the busses returned and our guests loaded up on soft pretzels and we took the party to the Broad Street Tavern in Swarthmore.
