Kelly and Jamin
Jamin and I were married and sealed together for time and eternity in the LDS Sacramento Temple on August 24th, and had our ring ceremony and reception on August 25th. Our wedding theme was perfect. Jamin and I always loved the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran, and knew that's how we wanted our guests to feel at our wedding! We chose our dream location, Villa Montalvo, because it was close to home and reminded me of my childhood. Villa Montalvo is a historic cultural arts center and Italian Mediterranean Revival Mansion constructed in the early 1900's for the state's elite, nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It fit perfectly with the look and feel we wanted: elegant and classy. A 1956 Rolls Royce Excalibur Limousine parked in front of the mansion provided the perfect compliment (and a stylish exit!) to our plated dinner served outside on the front terrace. We loved incorporating personal touches throughout the wedding, and named each dinner table after specific locations that are near and dear to our hearts. From Boston (I ran the Boston Marathon!), to Sydney (a New Years Eve I'll never forget), to Nick's Cove in Tomales Bay (where our journey began and Jamin proposed), each table provided our guests with a glimpse into our lives.
Our accent color was blush pink; it was my Grandmothers favorite color. She passed away the day Jamin asked me to be his forever. I know she was smiling down from heaven watching our ceremony feeling thrilled for the legacy she left behind. Our nine beautiful bridesmaids, nine handsome groomsmen, two flower girls, and two ring bearers all incorporated our color scheme in their dresses, bouquets, and boutineers as they walked down the aisle to begin our ceremony. Our ceremony was set outdoors in a Spanish themed oval garden on a mild 80 degree summer afternoon. Hydrangeas, wisteria and roses surrounded the garden, with our guests seated in a semi-circle facing us. The altar was a dream; we stood in front of a small temple like structure flanked by two graceful marble sculptures. My family priest (he has performed the marriage ceremonies of all my siblings), conducted a beautiful ring ceremony where he explained the significance of our temple marriage; a bond that is sealed for time and eternity and not limited until death do us part. I'll never forget this special day made possible by all the people I love the most in this world.
